 Position:  YOUTH ROOM MONITORS

Job Summary
Room monitors are an important and integral piece to the success of the Wednesday night service. Assist the speaker(s) and participants to ensure that the session goes smoothly for all. Able to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.Demonstrate an attitude of helpfulness to the volunteers and congregation.
Encourage the volunteers in their work.

Job Function

  • Monitors the door to avoid any "slamming" during Praise & Worship, prayer time and the Sermon.Lets the presenters know when the end of the session is close so they can wrap up (5 min warning).
    Help speakers with handout materials.
  • Assist with their A/V equipment needs (if youth DJ is not available).
  • Makes sure the lights are at the appropriate level (for slides, overhead, etc.).
  • Takes attendance and/or collects tithes/offering/or payments for special events.
  • Maintain crowd control.
  • Assist and support with youth behavior management.
  • Communicates behavioral concerns to Youth Pastor.
  • Must attend all Youth Leader Training, monthly meeting, and/or conference calls.

Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
 
Requirements
Prefer a Class C license issued by the state of Texas and a safe driving record such as required by the church for Driver’s Authorization.

Spiritual Commitment
All volunteers are expected to be in a committed relationship with Jesus Christ and help the church to meet the spiritual, social, emotional, and physical needs of the church family.

Postion:  MATH/SPANISH TUTORS

Job Summary 
Individuals seeking to work with the youth as Math or Spanish Tutors must be comfortable with working with school age youth. Able to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds. Tutoring a youth learner can be a challenging and rewarding partnership. Besides being compassionate, a tutor needs to be patient, adaptable, and able to learn and use new concepts. Tutors are expected to demonstrate positive, respectful and cooperative attitudes and behavior in all interaction with other volunteers, learners, parents and staff at NGBF. Demonstrate an attitude of helpfulness to the volunteers and congregation.

Job Function
After a request is made, a tutor meets with his or her youth learner and parent at a mutually agreed upon time. Tutoring takes place at the church unless an arrangement is made with the parent. A volunteer needs to be able to commit time to lesson planning, which may involve previewing materials and appropriate resources at the learning center or the library. 

Requirements

 Tech Team Ministry

 Position:  Photographer

Job Summary

Job Function
Transfer pictures to appropriate ministry folder located on hard drive of church media computer.

 Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Training will be provided if individual has no experience.

 Position:  Sound Technician

Job Summary 
To assist the media department in providing quality sound system support throughout the entire facility.


Job Function

Maintain and operate the sound systems.. Assist in developing good organization of equipment. Develop training to enhance the abilities of the volunteers involved in the sound system related tasks. Aid in planning for system upgrade and enhancements. Able to provide intelligent input when planning events that occur in the church. Assist in some sound system duties throughout the facility. Demonstrate an attitude of helpfulness to the volunteers and congregation. Encourage the volunteers in their work. Help maintain proper supplies. Able to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.  
 Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Training will be provided if individual has no experience.
