Dr. Tony Mathews has been in ministry for twenty-seven years.  Twenty-five of those years have been spent providing pastoral care to several races and cultures.  For the last eighteen years he has served as Senior Pastor of North Garland Baptist Fellowship.  He has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Angelo State University, San Angelo, Texas, a Master of Arts, in Christian Leadership from The Criswell College, Dallas, Texas, and a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

Tony is the author of There’s More Than One Color in the Pew: A Handbook for Multicultural, Multiracial Churches (Smyth and Helwys). He has been elected Vice President of the Southern Baptist of Texas Pastor's Conference 2006 and has preached, lectured and conducted seminars in various cities across the United States.

He is married to Angela Lemons Mathews and has three children.  Finally, he prays that wherever he serves, the people of God will be edified, strengthened, and challenged to “press towards the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 3:14).
